For Beginners of Home WineMaking

Published by admin

Once you try your hand at wine making, you will never look back……..Yes it is that much fun.
This page is designed to get you started on the right foot, and eliminate some of the common first time mistakes.
First things first. If you don’t know anyone personally that makes wine, I suggest that you download this Free “How to Make Wine at home” E-book. It is written in very easy to understand language, and takes you through the general process from start to finish.
This will give a very good idea of what is involved and your basic needs to get started.

Next, once you decide to try this for yourself (and you will!)…..I suggest that you find a dedicated area to use. It does not need to be anything fancy, a spot in your basement or garage, or maybe even a few feet of unused kitchen counter will do.

Many people like to start out with a wine kit and this is fine. The only suggestion that I would have is, before you begin, make sure that you have everything needed to complete the task…..this includes corks, bottles and a corker…….It also includes siphon tubing, chemicals and primary and secondary fermentation vessels.

Read and re-read the recipe that you are following, so as to be certain that you are not forgetting anything. You do not want to have your juice in the primary and realize that you don’t have any campden tablets.

If you would like a much more detailed and illustrated guide, there is an exceptional one available. It was the absolute best $27 that I have ever spent!

happy wine making
